HOW TO PROCEED

2018

In 2018, to mark the company’s 20th anniversary, Thomas Hauert creates a piece in homage to the dancers who have regularly collaborated with ZOO since it was formed in december 1997 – Sarah Ludi, Samantha van Wissen and Mat Voorter – and the younger generation who has worked with ZOO since 2008 – Gabriel Schenker, Fabian Barba, Liz Kinoshita and Albert Quesada. Including Thomas Hauert, the piece is created for eight dancers. The project also continues other artistic collaborations – the costume designers Anne Masson and Eric Chevalier, the lighting designer Bert Van Dijck, Mauro Lanza’s musical compositions and François Gremaud’s dramaturgical contributions – whose creativity has inspired ZOO’s work over the recent years.
